-
Golden Events provides full-service wedding and event support throughout the greater Seattle area. Our services include wedding planning & coordination, partial and full-service wedding planning, business and social event planning, live and faux florals, wedding DJ services, bartending, wedding officiating, additional event staffing, setup and teardown assistance, and other event-day support.
You can hire Golden Events for one individual service or combine several services to create a more comprehensive event team.

-
No! While weddings are a major part of what we do, Golden Events also provides planning and event services for business events, corporate events, nonprofit events, celebrations, parties, anniversaries, showers, community events, holiday parties, and other social gatherings.
-
Absolutely. That's actually one of the biggest advantages of working with Golden Events.
Instead of hiring separate companies for planning, coordination, florals, DJ services, bartending, officiating, and event staffing, you can choose multiple services from our team.
Having fewer separate vendors can make communication easier and helps create a more cohesive experience behind the scenes.
-
Yes. You do not need to book wedding planning or coordination to hire Golden Events for another service. Depending on availability, our florals, DJ services, bartending, officiating, event staffing, and other services may be booked individually.
-
For weddings, we recommend reaching out as soon as you know your date and venue, particularly for popular Saturdays between late spring and early fall.
Full-service wedding planning is especially helpful when booked early because it allows us to assist with more of the vendor selection, budgeting, design, logistics, and planning process.
However, we also accept weddings and events with shorter planning timelines when our team is available.
-
Item descrYes. Golden Events offers several levels of wedding planning and coordination so couples can choose the amount of support that makes sense for their wedding.
Our options range from lighter planning and event-day assistance to more comprehensive partial and full-service wedding planning.
We can also add services such as florals, DJ, bartending, officiating, and event staffing depending on what your wedding requires.iption
-
Contact us with your event date, venue or general location, estimated guest count, and the services you're interested in.
For planning and coordination services, we'll typically schedule a consultation so we can learn more about your event before recommending the best service option.
For some standalone services, we may be able to prepare pricing based on the information you provide.
Wedding Planning & Coordination
-
A wedding planner is involved in the planning process before the wedding and can assist with things such as budgeting, finding vendors, logistics, design decisions, timelines, contracts, floor plans, and overall organization.
A wedding coordinator primarily focuses on taking the plans you've already made and making sure they're successfully carried out.
Golden Events offers multiple levels of wedding planning and coordination so you don't have to choose between having no help and hiring someone to plan absolutely everything.
-
Both our Mini Package and Day-Of Coordination are designed for couples who have handled most of their wedding planning themselves but want professional support bringing everything together. The biggest difference is how much help you need before and during the wedding.
Our Mini Package is a lighter level of support for couples who feel confident managing most of the details themselves but want an experienced professional to help with the final logistics and keep things running smoothly on the wedding day. It's a great fit for smaller or less complex weddings that don't require as much pre-event coordination or on-site management.
Our Day-Of Coordination Package provides more comprehensive support for weddings with more vendors, moving pieces, setup needs, or complicated logistics. And despite the name, our work doesn't begin when we arrive at your venue on the wedding day. We connect with you beforehand to learn your plans, review important details, prepare for the event, and make sure we're ready to step in and manage the day.
If you're unsure which wedding coordination package is right for you, we'll look at your guest count, venue, vendor team, setup requirements, timeline, and overall event complexity and help you determine which level of support makes the most sense.
-
Yes. Golden Events provides wedding coordination and event-day management for weddings throughout Seattle and the surrounding Western Washington area.
Our goal is to let you experience your wedding as the couple getting married, not as the people responsible for answering vendor questions, watching the clock, directing setup, finding missing family members, or troubleshooting problems.
-
Most venues are now requiring couples to hire a professional wedding coordinator because having one significantly changes your experience on the wedding day.
Without a coordinator, responsibilities such as communicating with vendors, monitoring the timeline, answering questions, directing the wedding party, troubleshooting problems, overseeing setup, and coordinating major moments often fall to the couple, their families, or members of the wedding party.
A coordinator gives those responsibilities to someone whose job is specifically to manage them.
-
Yes. A venue coordinator and a wedding coordinator have different responsibilities.
A venue coordinator primarily represents and manages the venue. Your wedding coordinator represents you and manages the overall wedding.
Depending on your venue, their coordinator may oversee venue staff, building access, venue policies, tables and chairs, catering, or other venue-specific responsibilities without managing your ceremony, wedding party, outside vendors, personal décor, detailed timeline, or the many other elements happening throughout the day.
We recommend asking your venue exactly what its coordinator does and does not handle.
-
Depending on which package you choose, yes. Timeline creation and management are important parts of our wedding planning and coordination services.
We work with your vendors and wedding details to create a realistic schedule covering the major pieces of your day, including vendor arrival, setup, photography, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception events, dinner, speeches, dances, entertainment, dessert, and breakdown.
-
Depending on the service you've booked, yes. Vendor communication is an important part of wedding planning and coordination.
Before your wedding, we make sure the people involved understand the schedule and relevant logistics so everyone is working from the same plan.
-
Yes! We can help organize your wedding party, review the ceremony processional and recessional, determine spacing and order, and make sure everyone understands what they're supposed to do before the wedding day.
-
Yes. Vendor research and recommendations are available with applicable planning services.
We can help couples navigate vendors such as venues, caterers, photographers, videographers, rental companies, bakeries, entertainment, beauty professionals, transportation providers, and other wedding professionals.
-
Yes. Budget planning and allocation can be included with our more comprehensive planning services.
Wedding budgets involve more than simply assigning a dollar amount to each vendor. We can help identify priorities, estimate where your budget is likely to go, track spending, and make planning decisions with your overall budget in mind.
-
Yes. Golden Events offers comprehensive wedding planning for couples who want support throughout the planning process.
Full-service planning can include assistance with budgeting, vendor sourcing, logistics, planning meetings, design direction, timelines, communication, and wedding-day coordination.
-
Yes. Partial planning is a great fit for couples who have already made progress but want professional assistance finishing the planning process.
Instead of starting from scratch, we can step into your existing plans, identify what's still needed, and help bring everything together.
-
Absolutely. You don't need to hire a wedding planner immediately after getting engaged.
If you've already booked your venue or several vendors and have reached the point where planning has become overwhelming, partial planning may be a good fit.
-
Yes. We work with weddings of different sizes, including intimate weddings and smaller celebrations.
Smaller guest counts don't necessarily mean fewer logistics, and we can customize the level of support based on what your wedding actually requires.
-
Yes. We coordinate indoor and outdoor weddings throughout Washington.
Outdoor weddings require additional logistical considerations such as weather, power, lighting, guest comfort, vendor access, uneven surfaces, tenting, and backup plans. We encourage every outdoor wedding to have a realistic weather contingency plan.
-
Yes, depending on the property and event requirements.
Private-property weddings can require significantly more logistical planning because you're essentially creating a venue from scratch. Considerations may include parking, restrooms, power, rentals, lighting, catering access, waste removal, neighbors, permits, weather plans, and event staffing.
Wedding Setup & Event Staffing
-
Yes. Golden Events can provide setup, breakdown, and additional event staffing depending on availability and the needs of your event.
This can be especially helpful for couples providing their own décor or venues that require personal items to be removed immediately after the reception.
-
Depending on the scope of your service, yes.
Our team can assist with placement of client-provided décor such as signage, table numbers, guest books, favors, candles, small decorative items, and other pre-planned elements.
Because setup requirements can vary enormously from one wedding to another, we recommend discussing your complete setup list with us beforehand.
-
We can assist with event breakdown and cleanup tasks that fall within the scope of event staffing, but this is different from professional janitorial or venue cleaning.
Before booking, we'll determine what your venue requires at the end of the night and which responsibilities can be handled by our team.
-
Yes, depending on availability.
Additional event staff can be hired to assist with tasks such as setup, guest direction, maintaining event spaces, bussing and resetting non-catering items, monitoring stations, replenishing supplies, breakdown, and other general event support.
Wedding Florals
-
Yes. Golden Events offers wedding floral services for weddings and events in the Seattle area and throughout surrounding Western Washington communities.
-
Yes. We can work with both fresh/live florals and faux florals depending on your vision, budget, design, and event needs.
-
Yes. Wedding floral services can include personal flowers such as bridal bouquets, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and other floral pieces.
-
Yes. Floral services can include reception centerpieces and other floral décor based on your design and floral proposal.
-
Yes. Ceremony floral design can include arrangements for arches and other ceremony structures when appropriate for the venue and design.
-
Sometimes, but not always.
The cost depends heavily on the flowers selected, quantity, arrangement size, design complexity, installation requirements, and whether specialty pieces are needed.
Faux florals can be a useful alternative when couples want specific flowers regardless of season or want to avoid some of the limitations associated with fresh flowers.
-
Depending on availability, yes. Golden Events' floral services can be booked separately from our wedding planning and coordination services.
Wedding DJ & Entertainment
-
Yes. Golden Events offers DJ and music services for weddings and events in Seattle, Renton, Tacoma, and surrounding areas.
-
Depending on the venue and package selected, DJ services can cover multiple portions of your wedding, including ceremony music, cocktail hour, dinner, formal reception moments, and dancing.
-
Of course. Your wedding should sound like you.
We'll collect your important song selections, such as ceremony music, grand entrance, first dance, parent dances, special dances, bouquet toss or other traditions, last dance, and other significant moments.
You can also provide music preferences, favorite artists, must-play songs, and songs you absolutely do not want played.
-
This can be customized based on your preferences.
Some couples love guest requests while others prefer that the DJ follow a more curated playlist and style. We'll discuss your preferences beforehand.
-
Yes, when requested. DJ services can include emcee-style announcements for important reception moments and transitions.
-
Yes, subject to availability.
Wedding Bartending Services
-
Yes. Golden Events offers professional bartending services for weddings and events throughout the greater Seattle and Tacoma area.
-
Our bartending services are structured as client-supplied alcohol service. You purchase the alcohol for your event, while our bartending team handles service according to your selected package and event plan.
-
The appropriate number of bartenders depends on your guest count, bar menu, service style, venue layout, and the types of drinks being served.
A beer-and-wine-only bar generally has different staffing needs than a bar serving cocktails.
We'll recommend service based on the size and needs of your event.
-
Yes. Beer and wine service is available and can be an excellent option for couples who want to keep their bar simple and efficient.
-
Yes. Cocktail service is available with applicable bartending packages.
The number and complexity of cocktails offered can affect bar speed and staffing requirements, so we'll work with you to create a service plan appropriate for your guest count.
-
Our bartending service can include service and management of client-provided non-alcoholic beverages.
This may include a water station, lemonade, soda, or other non-alcoholic options supplied for your event.
-
Unless specifically included in your proposal, items such as alcohol, mixers, cups, glassware, and ice are supplied by the client or another applicable vendor.
We'll make sure you understand what needs to be provided before the event so there aren't any surprises on the wedding day.
-
If your venue does not have an existing bar area, we can bring our mobile bar.
Other bar furniture, tables, décor, or glassware are not included unless specifically stated in your proposal.
-
Yes. Our bartending services can be booked separately from wedding planning and coordination, subject to availability.
Wedding Officiant Services
-
Yes. Golden Events offers wedding officiant services for couples who need someone to perform their ceremony.
-
Yes. Your ceremony can be customized to reflect your relationship and the type of celebration you want.
We can discuss ceremony structure, readings, vows, ring exchanges, special traditions, and other meaningful elements.
-
Absolutely. Many couples choose to write personal vows, while others prefer traditional or repeat-after-me vows.
Your ceremony can be structured around whichever option makes you most comfortable.
-
Yes. Not every couple wants a lengthy ceremony.
We can create a ceremony that feels meaningful without being unnecessarily long.
-
Yes, subject to availability. Officiating can be booked as a standalone wedding service.
Business, Corporate & Social Events
-
Yes. Golden Events provides event planning and event support for businesses, organizations, and community events throughout the Seattle-Tacoma area.
-
We can assist with company celebrations, employee events, community events, networking events, open houses, holiday parties, customer appreciation events, promotional events, and other business gatherings.
-
Yes. Golden Events isn't limited to weddings and corporate events.
Depending on the event and our availability, we can assist with birthdays, anniversaries, showers, celebrations, and other social events.
-
Yes. Additional event staffing can be added for many types of events.
Depending on your needs, staff can assist with setup, guest direction, maintaining event areas, managing stations, replenishing supplies, breakdown, and general event support.
-
Yes. If most of the planning has already been completed but you need someone to manage logistics and execution, contact us about event management and staffing options.
Booking & Payment
-
Start by contacting us with information about your wedding or event.
Once we've determined the services that fit your needs, you'll receive a proposal outlining your options, pricing, and next steps.
Your date is not considered reserved until all required booking steps outlined in your proposal and agreement have been completed.
-
Yes. A deposit or retainer is required to reserve services.
Your proposal and service agreement will explain the amount due, payment schedule, and applicable policies for the services you're booking.
-
Payment plan schedules and available payment options will be outlined in your proposal and agreement.
-
Usually, yes, provided the requested service and necessary team members are still available.
For example, couples who initially hire Golden Events for planning or coordination may later decide they would also like to add florals, DJ services, bartending, officiating, or additional staffing.
We recommend adding services as early as possible because availability cannot be guaranteed.
-
Potentially. Contact us if your needs change after booking and we'll review what adjustments can be made based on your agreement, event date, staffing, and availability.
Wedding Day Questions
-
Coverage depends on the service you've booked and the requirements outlined in your agreement.
Our coordination philosophy is centered around managing the event, not watching the clock while important responsibilities are still happening.
Your proposal will explain the coverage associated with your selected service.
-
Wedding timelines sometimes shift.
Your coordinator and vendors will work together to make reasonable adjustments while protecting the most important parts of your celebration whenever possible.
Building a realistic timeline with appropriate buffer time beforehand is one of the best ways to prevent small delays from becoming major problems.
-
For outdoor weddings, we strongly recommend creating a weather backup plan before the wedding.
Your coordinator can help execute the plan you've established with your venue and vendors if weather requires changes.
Washington weather can be unpredictable, so it's much better to have a backup plan you never use than to create one during a downpour.
-
Whenever possible, yes.
One of the biggest benefits of having an experienced event team is having someone available to troubleshoot routine problems without requiring the couple to personally manage every decision.
For issues that genuinely require your approval, we'll involve you. For everyday logistical questions that can reasonably be handled without interrupting your celebration, that's exactly what we're there for.
-
We'll certainly do our best!
A good wedding timeline includes intentional time for the couple to eat, breathe, and enjoy the reception instead of moving immediately from one scheduled activity to another.
-
Yes. Communication between your coordinator, photographer, DJ, catering team, and other key vendors is important.
Before major reception moments, we work to make sure the appropriate vendors are ready so important events don't happen while your photographer is outside, your DJ isn't prepared, or a key family member is missing.
Planning a Washington Wedding
-
Wedding planning costs in Seattle can vary widely depending on the level of service, size and complexity of the wedding, and experience of the planner. As a general starting point, couples may see partial wedding planning packages around $1,500–$4,000+ and full-service wedding planning beginning around $3,500–$5,000 and reaching $8,000+ for more comprehensive services. Luxury and highly involved weddings can cost considerably more.
Golden Events offers different levels of planning support so couples don't have to pay for services they don't need. Our Partial Planning Package is $3,500, while our Complete Planning Package is $5,000.
-
For day-of wedding coordination in Seattle and Western Washington, couples can generally expect to spend approximately $800–$2,000+, depending on the number of coordinators, length of coverage, guest count, venue, setup responsibilities, and complexity of the wedding.
It's also important to understand that “day-of coordination” rarely means the coordinator simply shows up on the wedding day. Professional coordinators typically do preparation beforehand so they understand your vendors, timeline, venue, and plans before taking over event-day management.
Golden Events offers both our Mini Package and Day-Of Coordination Package for couples who have planned their own weddings but want professional help bringing everything together.
-
A professional wedding DJ in Seattle typically costs around $1,400–$3,000+, although pricing can be higher for DJs offering extensive lighting, additional sound systems, specialty effects, or longer coverage.
Wedding DJ pricing usually depends on the number of hours, whether sound is needed for both the ceremony and reception, equipment requirements, MC services, lighting, travel, and other enhancements.
When comparing Seattle wedding DJs, make sure you know what's included in the price. A lower quote may cover only reception music, while another package may include ceremony audio, microphones, MC services, dance-floor lighting, setup, and breakdown.
-
For a wedding in the Seattle area, professional bartending service can generally range from approximately $500–$1,500+, depending on the guest count, number of bartenders, hours of service, and whether you're offering beer and wine only or a full cocktail menu.
The price of bartending service is different from the total cost of your wedding bar. Alcohol, mixers, ice, glassware or disposable cups, garnishes, rentals, and other supplies may be additional expenses depending on what your bartender provides.
Golden Events offers bartending packages based on guest count and the type of bar service you want, including beer and wine service or beer, wine, and cocktails. Our bartending team can also manage client-provided non-alcoholic beverages such as water, lemonade, and soda.
-
Wedding flowers in Seattle can range from around $1,500 for relatively simple floral needs to $5,000+ for more extensive wedding florals, with elaborate installations and luxury floral designs reaching considerably higher.
The final price depends on your guest count, number of arrangements, flower varieties, seasonality, bouquet size, number of wedding-party flowers, centerpieces, ceremony arrangements, floral installations, delivery, setup, and breakdown.
For example, a couple needing a bridal bouquet, a few bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, and simple centerpieces will have a very different floral budget than a wedding with a large ceremony arch, dozens of centerpieces, statement arrangements, and elaborate reception florals.
Golden Events offers both fresh and faux wedding florals, allowing us to explore different options based on your vision and budget.
-
Couples in the Seattle area can generally expect to spend approximately $250–$600+ for a professional wedding officiant, depending on ceremony customization, rehearsal involvement, travel, and other services.
Golden Events offers wedding officiant services starting at $300. We can work with you to create a ceremony that fits your relationship and celebration, whether you want something short and simple, traditional, romantic, lighthearted, or more personalized.
-
There is no single “normal” Seattle wedding budget. Guest count, venue, catering, bar service, rentals, photography, entertainment, florals, and the level of service you choose can change the total dramatically.
For a traditional wedding with professional vendors, couples planning a wedding in the greater Seattle area should generally be prepared for a total budget in the tens of thousands of dollars. Current Seattle estimates commonly place a typical wedding around $35,000–$45,000, while larger guest counts, premium venues, elaborate florals, upgraded food and beverage service, and luxury vendors can push the total well beyond that.
If you're working with a specific wedding budget, one of the most important things you can do is establish your priorities early. A professional wedding planner can help you determine where your money will have the greatest impact and where you may be able to simplify without sacrificing the overall experience.
-
Late spring through early fall is especially popular for weddings throughout Seattle and Western Washington, although weddings take place year-round.
Because popular venues and vendors can book well in advance for peak-season Saturdays, couples planning a wedding during high-demand months should begin contacting priority vendors early.
Winter weddings can also be beautiful in the Pacific Northwest and may offer a completely different atmosphere.
-
Weather should be one of your biggest logistical considerations.
In addition to rain, think about temperature, wind, shade, guest comfort, power, lighting, accessibility, parking, vendor access, restroom facilities, tenting, and what will happen if the ceremony or reception needs to move indoors.
-
For outdoor or partially outdoor weddings, we strongly recommend one.
A rain plan doesn't mean you're expecting bad weather. It simply means everyone knows what to do if the weather doesn't cooperate.
-
Guest count is only one factor that determines how complicated a wedding is.
A 50-person wedding can still involve a venue, catering, photography, DJ, florals, rentals, transportation, décor, ceremony logistics, setup, and cleanup.
Rather than deciding based solely on guest count, consider how many moving pieces you'll have and who will be responsible for managing them.
Still Have Questions?
Every wedding and event is different, and it's impossible to answer every question on one page.
If you're looking for a Seattle wedding planner, wedding coordinator, wedding DJ, wedding bartender, wedding florist, wedding officiant, event planner, or additional event staff, we'd love to learn more about what you're planning.
Golden Events serves couples, families, businesses, and organizations throughout Seattle, Renton, Tacoma, Bellevue, Kent, Auburn, Federal Way, Issaquah, Snoqualmie, North Bend, Woodinville, Everett, and surrounding Western Washington communities.
Whether you need one service or an entire event team, our goal is to make the process easier, keep the moving pieces organized, and give you more time to actually enjoy the celebration you're creating.
